Crews this evening were digging out fire hydrants. Please make sure the snow is cleared 3 feet around your hydrant. This saves time in case of a fire.
Today crews responded to 10 emergency calls. Most were medical assist in nature. A great job by crew members who stood by in station all day and night, used their own snow blowers to keep the driveway open for Station 2 apparatus and Amb 180, housed in Station 2, till township road crews could plow the driveway. THANKS guys!
It looks like the snow will be coming, in addition to your normal preparations for a Winter Storm don't forget to shovel your fire hydrant. If there is a fire hydrant near your home be sure to clear the snow. It does not seem like much, but that can save valuable minutes if the fire company must shovel it out before connecting the hose line. Clear at least 3 feet around the hydrant. Minutes could mean lives or property. Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company says THANK YOU for the support.
